House rules
The rules everyone on Trulet agrees to. Breaking them gets listings removed and repeat offenders banned. For how the site works and tips on renting safely, see the renting guide.
No real estate agents.
Real estate agents, property managers, and anyone acting for them cannot use this site. Agent listings will be removed and the account banned. If one slipped through, report the listing and a person will check it.
Photos must be of the real place.
Ads with photos that are not taken from, or do not show, the place itself (beach shots, cafe strips, the local shops) will be removed. Ads with photos that are not current, like shots from years ago when the place was new, that no longer reflect its condition will also be removed.
Write your own ad.
Descriptions must be written by the person who owns the place, in their own words. Copy-paste templates and generated fluff get flagged.
Reports must be honest.
Every report is read by a person and taken seriously. Reporting an ad because you dislike the owner, or to hurt a competing listing, is not a real reason. False reports count against your account.
