Trulet

House rules

Trulet exists so owners and renters can deal with each other directly. The rules are few, and they are enforced.

No agents. Ever.

Real estate agents, property managers, and anyone acting for them cannot use this site. Every account confirms this at signup. Agent listings are removed and the account is banned. If an agent slipped through, report the listing; a person will check it.

Photos show the real place.

Photos must be taken from inside the property or show the property itself. No beach shots, no cafe strips, no photos from when the building was new. We read the date photos were taken and show it on the listing. Old or misleading photos get listings removed.

Write your own ad.

Descriptions are written by the person who owns the place, in their own words. Template copy and generated fluff get flagged.

One listing per account.

Accounts start with one live listing. Genuinely own more than one rental? Verify ownership from your account page and ask; caps are raised for real owners, never for volume posters.

Reports are read by a person.

Every report is reviewed by a human. Confirmed reports improve your standing here and false ones damage it. Listings with serious or repeated reports come down while they are checked.

Money stays away from the platform.

Trulet never touches rent, deposits, or bonds. Bonds are lodged with your state authority. Never transfer money to hold a property you have not inspected in person.
